The day-to-day life of a box manager is not easy. We know that! Preparing classes, schedules, WODs, animating a community… When classes end, it’s only the beginning of your day as a manager and administrator of your centre.

Are you going to tell me you don’t ask yourself every day how you can manage a sports centre without dying in the attempt or what to focus on and what not to focus on?

Don’t worry, the Resawod team is here to help you smile. We have elaborated a study based on more than 224 surveys and personal interviews with users of cross training centres and affiliated boxes in 4 European countries.

Here is a preview of what you will find in our Checklist for running your box successfully. Take pencil and paper!

1. Don’t neglect your customers

It is essential to attract new customers, but don’t forget to take care of the customers you have had for a long time and who have helped you get to where you are.

Think about actions you can take to build loyalty among your old customers.

2. Cleanliness and hygiene of your box

This is an aspect that is often overlooked. However, it is the second most important aspect an athlete looks for when choosing a gym.

3. Be selective with the purchase of material and equipment

Contrary to popular belief, our study showed that equipment was the least important aspect for a user. Do you want to know why?

4. Be unique

Ask around you about the aspects that make you as a coach, and your box as a business, different. These will be the points on which you will have to focus your cross training centre and the services you offer.

5. Instructors

They are one of the key factors in the experience perceived by your clients. Are you taking care of them as they deserve? First step: make sure they are trained and paid competitively.

This article is just a preview, to find out the other three aspects to take into account, what the pyramid of needs consists of or what more findings we have found, take a look at our checklist and take the management of your box to the next level.
